Ran intervals on the track this morning wearing two watches, one with track-mode distance correction and one without. 0.72% distance error on the one with it, several times that on the other. It’s not a GPS chip improvement, it’s software using the known geometry of a 400m loop to correct position. Small, boring, and it’s the difference between trusting your splits or not.
